Its parcel stretches from west to east across nearly the entire vineyard. Here, the soils become shallower and limestone bedrock emerges at the surface, giving rise to one of the most extreme and mineral-driven sites of the Monasterio.

The Malbec and Cabernet Franc were destemmed into 500-liter vats, where they co-fermented. Fermentation occurred spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, and the wine was gently extracted through a very light daily foot treading. The wine remained in contact with the skins for 45 days before being aged for just over 12 months in neutral French oak barrels. The wine was bottled without filtration.

The 2023 vintage gave birth to a La Craie of remarkable precision and depth. Its nose is restrained and delicate, with the expression of the limestone soils taking precedence over the fruit, revealing floral notes and a pronounced mineral character. On the palate, it displays vibrant acidity, an exceptionally fine texture, and a long, vertical profile that faithfully reflects the identity of this hillside. A wine of great tension, elegance, and persistence, whose true personality will continue to unfold beautifully with time.

Total production of the 2023 vintage:

2,568 bottles (750 ml)

Price per bottle, international shipping included.

Availability only with membresy.

[125,126,86
130,87
post-9612","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-club-del-vino-en","product_cat-tinto-en","product_cat-vinos-en","product_tag-cabernet-franc-en","product_tag-malbec-en","first","instock","sold-individually","purchasable","product-type-simple
["GET
