Iubileus is a Malbec sourced from the spine and northern slope of Monte Alabanza. Its soils are composed primarily of limestone deposits. As the central parcel of the hill, its topsoil is slightly deeper than that of the surrounding blocks.
Like the other parcels of Monte Alabanza, it was fermented at very low temperatures in 500-liter vats, with a very gentle daily punch-down.
The wine remained in contact with its skins for 40 days before being aged for just over 12 months in neutral French oak barrels. It was bottled without filtration.
The 2023 vintage expresses an Iubileus of remarkable precision and balance. The nose reveals floral aromas, mountain herbs, and the unmistakable limestone character of Monte Alabanza. More open and expressive than La Craie, it combines depth and delicacy with an outstanding sense of purity.
On the palate, it is generous and enveloping, with silky tannins, vibrant tension, and a long, fresh, deeply mineral finish. A wine that faithfully reflects the identity of this parcel and the exceptional character of the 2023 vintage.
